BRIDGE TRAINING FOR NEC STAFF IN MUSANZE / RWANDA

‘BRIDGE’ means Building Resources in Democracy, Governance and Elections . In the last 3 weeks, the National electoral commission of  Rwanda ( NEC ) in collaboration with UNDP organized a BRIDGE training  in Musanze,/  Northern Province  this May 2015.

Three (3 ) groups had to be trained from 29/04/2015 .
- The 1st group of 19 persons attended the  training  on" Introduction to BRIDGE" . Most of them were  beginners . It was  their 1st time to attend BRIDGE . This session  ended  on May 3.
The 2nd group  attended  the 'Training the facilitator' ( TtF )  from  May 5, for two weeks . this group was composed of 20 participants including four (4) commissioners . The number of participants is limited by BRIDGE norms . They have  been trained  and received certificates of  ‘ Semi – Accredited Facilitators’ .   They learnt   following modules :
- Polling, Counting and Results;
- Media and Elections;
- Post-Election Period ;
- External Voting ;
- Post-Election Period;
- Electoral Security ;
- Strategic & Financial Planning;
- Voter Registration;
- Electoral dispute Resolution.

The 3rd group will be trained in June from 8 to 12 on "Voter list management module " The lead facilitator is Madam Rindai Chipfunde Vava , BRIDGE accrediting facilitator.

This BRIDGE  training serves  NEC in  election management.
